Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?

Yes. Our dental imaging software system allows you to get an idea of where we are going because we think that you should not only hear what we can achieve with your smile but also see it.

Do you accept referrals?

Absolutely! Referrals tell us that we are truly giving our patients the care they deserve.

Do you accept my insurance plan?

We are not providers of any insurance plan but do accept insurance for dental work. Our team will be happy to assist you in the insurance filing process.

What is usual, customary and reasonable (UCR) for insurance?

This is usually what your employer negotiated with the insurance company. The insurance company will pay 100% of that negotiated rate.

I have a temporary crown in my mouth. What happens if it comes off or breaks?

If your temporary crown comes off or breaks, please call us so that we can see you as soon as possible. If you still have it, bring the broken or entire temporary crown in when you come see us.

My child has had an accident and his/her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What do I do?

Put the knocked out tooth in a glass of cold milk and contact us immediately. The age of your child will determine the treatment for the lost tooth. An older child may be able to have the tooth reattached, but a younger child will not as it could be a choking hazard.

What different payment options do you provide?

We provide a number of different payment options. For dental care reaching $300 or more, we have a 5% courtesy for payments. For patients with dental insurance, we will estimate what your insurance is at the time of your visit with us, but please note that payment will be at that time. We also offer an alternate financing option with American General Financing, as well as a dental fee plan and care credit. We accept all major credit cards, as well as cash and checks. How can I safely whiten my teeth?

The best and safest approach to whitening your teeth is through a dental professional. We offer two techniques to safely whiten teeth. The Zoom! Whitening method is an in-office procedure that takes a little over an hour to perform. Our other method is through take-home trays. Trays are a less-expensive whitening option but take longer to produce results.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

Ensuring patient safety is a major consideration in our dedication to patient care. Our state-of-the-art sterilization center provides protection for all dental procedures. In the need of an emergency, Dr. Quandt is ACLS certified and we also keep a defibrillator in our office.

My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?

Bleeding gums are definitely something to be concerned about. It could be a sign of rough tooth brushing, which can be corrected with our tips on proper brushing, or it could be a sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease can lead to receding gums or even loose or lost teeth. Please contact us today to make an appointment to determine the cause of your bleeding gums.

I really do not like visiting the dentist, is there anything you can do to help me relax?

We understand that many of our patients may be hesitant to visit the dentist, so that is why we have developed a "spa dentistry" approach to patient care. We make every effort to make you feel special and even spoiled while visiting us. A few of our many amenities designed to help you relax are: paraffin wax hand treatments, heated massaging chairs, aromatherapy, television and DVDs to watch during your treatment. To top it off, we give each patient a fresh rose at the end of their appointment! For those patients that are still nervous we offer oral conscious sedation to help them relax.

Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?

Yes! Flossing should be part of your daily oral hygiene routine. Proper tooth-brushing alone cannot remove plaque that builds up between your teeth. Over time, plaque buildup can cause gum disease, which can cause bleeding gums and loose or lost teeth (among other concerns). By flossing every day, you can avoid several dental complications in the future.

I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?

We offer a variety of options for patients who do not want to wear braces. Depending on your situation and preference, we provide Invisalign, veneers or cosmetic bonding. Dr. Quandt can discuss the most appropriate option for you when you come in for an appointment.

What is Smile Design?

Smile design is the next step in giving you a new, more radiant smile. Once we analyze your current smile, we will figure out how we can improve upon it. We take into account what you want and what will provide the best esthetic result. We utilize our dental imaging software system to give you an idea of where we are going because we think that you should not only hear what we can achieve with your smile but also see it. Then Dr. Quandt will apply his significant training and experience to present you with a radiant, healthy smile.
