Dental health is one of the key factors for overall health as people age, so by taking care of your teeth, you’ll be taking care of your whole body.

Checkups & Cleanings

Through our routine checkups and cleanings, you can rest assured that your future oral health is in good hands. Our detailed exams give us a chance to catch early signs of tooth decay and gum disease. If we notice plaque buildup or tartar, we’ll be able to remove it with a detailed cleaning. Checkups like these should be performed at least once every six months. Routine exams and cleanings also reduce your risk for dental emergencies going forward.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer affects nearly 55,000 people every year. As a result of catching it too late, approximately 10,000 people die every year due to complications from oral cancer. As a dentist, Dr. Quandt is in a unique position to catch the early signs of oral cancer, including red or white patches in oral tissue as well as lumps or bumps inside the mouth and neck. During your exam, he’ll make sure to let you know if the early signs of oral cancer are present and get you on the right path toward treatment.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Both adults and children suffer from chronic teeth grinding and clenching, a condition known as bruxism. Because this habit is often unconscious, it’s difficult to know if you have it unless Dr. Quandt tells you about it firsthand. With our custom-made nightguards, you can protect your smile throughout the night and ensure that your tooth enamel stays protected, no matter your age. Each nightguard is personalized to fit your mouth exactly, so you can sleep comfortably.

Bad Breath Treatment

Chronic bad breath, also known as halitosis, is more common than you’d think. Some patients struggle with bad breath, no matter how many times a day they brush and floss. If this is the case, you’ll want to consider professional bad breath treatment, available right here in our office! Once you begin treatment, you can rest knowing that your breath is no longer causing distractions, whether you’re speaking with friends and family or colleagues at work!

Dental Sealants

For some patients, especially our youngest ones, we understand that oral care can be quite difficult to complete. If you are highly susceptible to tooth decay, your risk for developing cavities in specific teeth may be higher. Dental sealants are designed to offer additional protection in teeth with very deep pits and cracks, including the molars. This composite resin mixture is applied to those teeth, then hardened using a special curing light. After application, you can expect your most vulnerable teeth to be protected for the next 10 years.
